Palette.fm is an AI colorizer that allows you to quickly and easily colorize anything from old photos to modern images.
Ever seen one of those old-timey black and white pictures someone has taken the time to painstakingly colour?
Palette FM uses AI to do the colourisation for you, meaning you can bust out your grandmother’s old photobook and get a technicolour glimpse into what life was like in a bygone era.
As a too, Palette could not be any easier to use. Just upload your chosen image right there on the homepage, then it will fill in some base colours and leave you to select a filter of choice. You can then click through the different “palettes” to see AI-generated variations on the image. The site takes 15 seconds or so to fully process an image, but the results are worth it.
Palette lets you colourise as many images as you like, up to a maximum size of 500x500 pixels. If you want to use a large image, or indeed you want a high-definition download to give to your grandma for her birthday, you’ll need to pay $0.20 per image, with a minimum purchase of $39/month.
If you need further convincing that Palette is great at what it does, take it from Unmesh Dinda, a photoshop expert who ran a rigorous test on the tool, or film-makers at Disney, Netflix and National Geographic who use Palette for their documentaries.
There’s not much to say here - If you want to colourise images, this has by-far the best results in the market. If you want to programmatically colourise images or video, Palette has you covered. And if you just want to send your grandparents onto the site instead, you’ll be glad to know the interface is straightforward, clear, and simple.
